Chester County Delegation Visited the Major Cities of China5/30/2017

The delegation from Chester County, the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, arrived in Beijing, the capital of China on 17 May 2017 and started its 11-day China trip. The main purpose of Chester County China trip is to bring new vitality to its economy, tourism, investment, environmental protection and other industries. Chloe Wang, associate at Shimin Law Offices, was a member of the delegation on behalf of Shimin Law Offices and participated in the whole China trip with other delegates from the government, enterprises, and university in Chester County. The delegation visited Beijing, Xi’an, Chongqing, Yangzhou and Shanghai, with the full support services provided by Shimin Law Offices.

The Chester County delegation had meetings with the local government officials, including Ruicheng Liu, Deputy Director-General of Beijing Yanqing District; Fei Wang, Deputy Director of Administrative Committee of Xi’an Xixian New District and Zhenfeng Kang, Director of Investment Promotion Bureau of Xi’an Xixian New District; Jun Fang, Director-General of Chongqing Yongchuan District; Yang Yang, Deputy Mayor of Yangzhou City and other officials. In the meetings, Chester County and the local government introduced the general information of their culture, environment and economy respectively, and exchanged their experience in developing the industries such as agriculture, health care, education, environmental protection, energy conservation and tourism. They also agreed on the matters regarding the continuous communications between each other and the cooperations among enterprises.

Shanghai was the last stop of Chester County China trip. Under the arrangement of Shimin Law Offices, the delegation had meetings with the enterprises and associations from Shanghai and surrounding areas focusing on investment, finance, operation of free trade zone, R&D of pharmaceuticals, environmental protection and energy conservation, education and development of small and medium sized enterprises. They shared a lot in common in the fields of R&D of pharmaceuticals, environmental protection and energy conservation and education. Shimin Law Offices will serve as the contact point for Chester County in China, assist the enterprises and associations in cooperation and development, and make their respective advantages complementary to each other.

The delegation of Chester County visited Shanghai Waigaoqiao International Trade Operating Center. The delegates were introduced the preferential policies of Shanghai Free Trade Zone for import and export, information of the specialized markets, as well as its exhibition hall for products from other countries.
